WASHINGTON, D.C.— The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has announced the pending induction of Kristen L. Billiar, Ph.D., Professor and Department Head Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, to its College of Fellows. Dr. Billiar was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows For outstanding research that has advanced our understanding of the micro-mechanics of cardiovascular tissues and for leadership in bioengineering education.
