AIMBE College of Fellows Class of 2013
For seminal contributions to the utilization of supercritical processes and nanoparticle technologies in drug delivery.

Keith Johnston Honored by Journal of Colloid and Interface Science

Via U. Texas Austin | February 10, 2015

Keith Johnston has been awarded the 2015 Darsh Wasan Award from the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science for his outstanding contributions to the field.

Johnston’s expertise in colloid and interfacial science has lead to advances in nanotechnology for imaging and recovery of subsurface oil and gas, electrochemical energy storage, drug delivery and imaging of cancer. He is advancing simple self-injection to administer therapeutic proteins to treat diseases including cancer and arthritis. He is also one of the most highly cited authors in colloid and interfacial science.

Johnston will deliver an award lecture during the 5th International Colloids Meeting in Amsterdam June 21-24, 2015.  He will also write a feature article manuscript on his lecture that will be published in the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, subject to peer review.

This annual award was initially designated the “JCIS Award for Outstanding Life-time Achievements in Surface and Colloid Chemistry,” but has been renamed the “JCIS – Darsh Wasan Award” in recognition of the achievements of the previous editor-in-chief during his twenty-two years of service.
