Honorary Fellow Awards are given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to medical and biological engineering through scientific, educational, governmental, financial or industrial organizations. The award consists of a plaque and recognition at the Annual Event. This award is not presented to individuals who have already been named to the College of Fellows by regular AIMBE procedures.
Nominations shall consist of a letter of nomination and a short description of the accomplishments that justifies special recognition. Nominations are solicited by the AIMBE Awards Committee from the entire membership including all Councils and the College of Fellows. The award is presented at the Annual Event of AIMBE, though awardees have not been named every year.
