AIMBE awards four distinct honors:

The Pierre Galletti Award, AIMBE’s highest honor, is given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to medical and biological engineering;

The Fellow Advocate Award is given to an AIMBE Fellow who has contributed greatly to AIMBE’s advocacy efforts;

Honorary Fellows are selected because, although they may not be medical or biological engineers, their careers have contributed to the fields of medical and biological engineering in other ways;

The Public Policy Award is given to elected officials who support and advocate for medical and biological engineering, and who have been AIMBE’s partners on Capitol Hill.
