Awards

AIMBE awards four distinct honors:

The Pierre Galletti Award, AIMBE’s highest honor, is given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to medical and biological engineering.

The Fellow Advocate Award is given to an AIMBE Fellow who has contributed greatly to AIMBE’s advocacy efforts.

The Public Policy Award is given to elected officials who support and advocate for medical and biological engineering, partnering with AIMBE on Capitol Hill.

Honorary Fellows are selected because, although they may not be medical or biological engineers, their careers have contributed to the fields of medical and biological engineering in other ways.
